2017 Call for Presentations

Submissions are due May 1st, 2017, and should be sent to isit@isitdbt.net

Workshops will be 90-105 minutes in length and should advance a participant’s knowledge of DBT. This year we will accept both clinical and research workshop submissions. For clinical workshops, both “broad spectrum DBT” and “niche DBT” submissions will be accepted. For research workshops, we are interested in topics that would enhance the research community’s skills at advancing knowledge about DBT and its application. Research workshops should aim to teach participants hands-on skills, or connect the research community via planned activities or interactions. The main criterion used to identify clinical and research workshops to be included in the final program is the quality of the proposal.  Experiential components are encouraged for all workshops. Submissions should include a workshop title, list of presenters and affiliations, 3 learning objectives, and abstract. In addition, please specify whether material will be geared to one of three levels: basic (will be useful to all participants), novice (useful to individuals who are relatively new to DBT), or intermediate (requires a moderate degree of familiarity with DBT). Submissions should be no more than 1 page in length. Please send your submission to isit@isitdbt.net and put “ISITDBT 2017 Workshop submission” in the subject line. Submissions that do not follow this guideline will not be considered.

Research Presentations. Our program will include presentations that summarize new data that is relevant to the DBT community. Appropriate studies include: randomized clinical trials, pilot trials of an adaptation or novel use of DBT, or basic studies on DBT-relevant topics such as emotion regulation, borderline personality disorder, suicidal behavior, and/or team or therapist behaviors. Submissions should include a title, list of authors and affiliations, and an abstract and should not exceed one page in length. Other topics may also be appropriate if relevant to the DBT community. Please send your submission to isit@isitdbt.net and put “ISITDBT 2017 Research presentation submission” in the subject line. Submissions that do not follow this guideline will not be considered.
